... so here is a little making-of file, since people were asking for something similar and cause the ones I post of my car paintings are also rather liked ;P

so what's happening there...

1. The sketch, this time 80% traditional sketch scanned in, rest ca. 20% digital added

2. "Vectorizing" adding vector lines in Illustrator, over the sketch, this is the part I hate the most.. cause it takes AGES!

3. The cleaned up vector lines ready for coloring

4. Base Colors added

5. More details and shading used, I shade with chosen colors and layer masks there (not just like one layer with black and 30% opacity...)

6. Overlay-Lights added

7. Shadow and Reflection added.. DONE! :D

btw what's vector exactly?
I never seen this tool before
Thankie! :D
Vectors are a kinda.. "mathematical" way of doing arts. ( [link] )
It allows you to do curves and straight lines without that pixelated edges coming up on various angles, you need a own program to do that though (Freehand, Illustrator, Flash, etc.)

Thanks a lot! ^__^

This is awesome, I was wondering did you do the whole process in illustrator?
