Yay, glowy gryphon! It's so great to see some Gryphonese art from you, Lizkay! *Stares at the magical, "swooosh", effect on his tail! The wings look absolutely gorgeous too, the glow really fits into them!
I really need to start learn, how to draw proper gryphon front-paws though. Well, I believe it's not that hard.
Many thanks! My first try to do some kind of metallic effect on the wings, which was a lot work but fun! (wings tend to be the part I early get 'tired of' when working on a pic so I had to try something new) lately I prefer gryphons with paws on all four feet as they are easier to pose, but most people are used to the claw version
You're most welcome! Metallic effect, you say? That sounds really interesting. Heheee, I mostly get 'tired' when its time to start the background, since I'm always pretty eager to just submit the piece and move to the next one. I must say, the experience has taught me some patience on the matter.
You prefer Gryphons with paws on all fours? Hmmm, perhaps then you'd like to take a look at the first gryphon I've ever submitted on dA? Here's the link, if you are interested! [link]
You're certainly right about the paw version being easier to draw and pose, at least in my opinion.
that's also a reason why I always try to start with the background, when I plan to do a more detailed one otherwise I tend to loose interest also Oh, Freki looks really nice looks like he would make a good pet too ( a pretty one for sure!) paws are really fun to draw, I think, I do draw talons a lot too, but still have problems in posing them right from time to time...
