I love to illustrate scenes.. really! I really like it more to draw a scene than a character sheet, I like it when something happens there on the picture.
So what's happening there? Yang (maybe known from my other pics) a gryphon/otter/dog/newt creature things, considered as animal here hunts a little glow-gryph and is just before jumping into the water with a big splash.
Same cloud technique used I had already on other pics, character is various cell shaded, background is painted, all in all Photoshop CS2 and wacom intuos2 Tablet
Yang/Gampeos and GlowGryphs are (c) me
Enjoy!
EDIT: Added the right and more detailed BG, also forgot to enable his shadow layer *g* well sorry, I hope you still like it, Print will be also available soon
Ahhh such clean shading!! I can really feel the action in this picture: I just want to see him finish his leap and make a huge splash!! Ahhh it's a SPLIT second before that moment, eh?
That grass is beautiful, as is the lighting. And w00t for Intuos2 users! ^^
That lighting effect is pretty neat too.
I'd really like to know more about the Glow-Gryph, it seems like an interesting species.
Hmm.. I think I do made some more sketches of that glow gryph somewhere.. but this piece is yet a bit old, so the stuff is probably lost
This is, this is, Wow. o.o
